We all wear many hats.

The focus of this blog is to look at personal finance and business in an unusual way.  Most people juggle their personal investments, their household budget or lack thereof, and try to keep on top of whatever is happening in the world that affects their pocketbook.

A couple of days a week, this post will look at specific investments to add or take away from a long term investment portfolio.  Other days there will be comments about the events in the news. And still other days there might be stories that relate to some aspect of your everyday life.  Feel free to leave comments below.

Today I spent time on You tube looking at all of the videos related to the Indymac bank run.  I’m fascinated by the sheer volume of information You tube has to offer.  This last week we used You tube to gather song ideas for some music we were preparing for church, got wrapped up in how to make cheese, and my hubby used it to teach him some finer aspects of wiring.

So what?  Well, here’s the deal:  as more people turn to You Tube for information, traffic to the site brings in greater revenue.  Greater revenue brings in more profitability, more profitability makes the company more likely to get an IPO.  Could You Tube some day repeat the success of Google?  Never know.  If it ever does get listed.  But it’s worth a watch.
